Review of “The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus”

Okay, first off, anyone that wants to see this film and doesn’t want the plot line ruined, do not read this review.

…………………………………………………………………………………………………

To begin … It was the weirdest film to hit Cinemas in a very long time. It created a sense of confusion that wasn’t particuarly necessary, and left the audience feeling rather bemused at its simplicity throughout the plot line due to the fact they didn’t think they were going to understand its strange and somewhat enigmatic story, even though it was very simple throughout and it would made for easy watching with its appauling english characters.

The story line was as follows; there is a story teller. He has made a bet with the Devil. The Devil always lets him win. The story tel has a daughter, that the Devil can claim on her 16th Birthday because of the bet. Of course she finds out from her father and gets just a tad upset. And the story unfolds. Heath Ledger becomes a funny yummy Johnny Depp who then becomes the worst actor ever of  Jude Law who then becomes Colin Farrell. A mixture of characters that all interchange when Ledger goes into his own imagination, however the worst change was undoubtably Jude Law – an ugly mess of a man who didn’t fit the facial features of any of the other characters when they changed, and it was clear that the only chose certain characters due to their names.

It was a pretty mish-mashed film, that included no real sense of purpose or plot, and a bunch of amateur characters trying to get their break but failed!

Should of been in no way Ledger’s last film!
