COVENTRY City Centre lights up for the festive season.

Children and adults alike, especially many University students who haven’t quite grown up yet, will enjoy many of the activities set to woo the crowds gathering in Broadgate, West Orchards and the Lower Precinct on November, 29.

Event organisers CV One have ensured a very festive day with appearance from the man himself; Santa, in West Orchards along with Peppa Pig and George, and to make sure you don’t miss out on Rudolph and his friends, the Lower Precinct will be accommodating for such guests. However, do not miss the magical Gingerbread house, and watch it come to life at 3pm with many mysterious characters set to enchant and amuse the crowds.

But the one guest not to be missed is award winning Beverly Knight, who along with all the other fun characters will be entertaining the crowds in the build up to 5pm when the lights will be switched on.

As Wallace and Gromit roam the streets in a bid to distract your attention from all the other crazy events of the day, Coventry’s very own athletic sports teams will be gracing us with their presence will be Coventry City Football Club, Coventry Rugby Club, Coventry Blaze and the Jets.

CV One’s Marketing and Communications manager, Mick McLaughlin said he looks forward to the day’s events;

“It’s fantastic that we will see a joint effort with the shopping centre’s this year, I really think that it will bring the city centre to life and get everybody into the festive spirit.”
