The Royal Armouries Museum in Leeds has yet another egg·ceptional Easter event this year.
The Easter Tournament 2016 is not only a great way to spend the Bank Holiday weekend, but it also celebrates the museum’s 20th anniversary with their 20th tournament.
Andy Deane, the Royal Armouries very own knight, will be back to compete for both the individual contest and for Team England with his team mate. Joining them in mock battle is the reigning champions, Jan Gradon and Jarek Struczyński of Poland and new competitors, Marc Hamel and Michael Sadde, will be locking lances to represent France.
Visitors are invited to experience the ‘thrills and spill’s of authentic medieval jousting and discover a collection of tournament arms and armour. Starting on 25 March and running until Easter Monday, the jam-packed weekend will be filled with knights, horses, prizes and a sp·egg·tacular mêlée finale, back by popular demand, when all competing knights will clash in battle.
Book tickets on the Royal Armouries Museum’s website.
